5 a.m. & 11 a.m. Super Jacob wakes up. Super Jacob doesn't have a very consistent morning routine. He is either up at the butt crack of dawn or he stays in bed until I attempt to drag him out by his ear lobes <<< it must be a teenager thing /:
9 a.m. & 11 a.m. once everyone is awake & functioning, we start our morning chores. Jacob takes care of the Super Pets & garbage. Super Julia & Super Noah help me with loading the laundry & un-loading the dishes.
9 a.m. & 11 a.m. breakfast is served. Breakfast is usually (non-instant) oatmeal, scrambled eggs, gluten-free muslix, gluten-free Panda Puffs or gluten-free chocolate Chex cereal. The Super Kids prefer the sugar cereal mornings /:
While the Super Kids eat their breakfast, I allow them to watch television. I never eat breakfast (I know, bad Supermom!), instead I take this opportunity to run upstairs & straighten up their rooms, making beds & wiping down their bathrooms.
After breakfast is eaten & teeth are brushed, television is turned off & school begins (o:
Super Jacob is pretty self-sufficient. I check most of his work in the evenings, so he starts his day fixing what was found incorrect, then he moves onto new lessons.
Super Noah is also pretty self-sufficient. He usually only needs a little help & guidance from me. Super Noah is very smart & fast. His lessons only take an hour or two at the most.
While the boys are hard at work, Super Julia is on ABC Mouse & I can be found cleaning the kitchen & wiping down the downstairs bathrooms.
Around noon, lunch is served. While the Super Kids eat, I fold & put away laundry.
Somewhere between 1 p.m. & 2 p.m. Super Julia takes a nap. I Thank God that little girl still needs a few hours to re-charge, because I need to eat, shower & re-charge as well.
At this time Super Noah is usually on my computer or iPod, but sometimes he is drawing & coloring. Right now he is obsessed with making mazes for me to figure out.
I believe Super Jacob looks forward to this time of the day because it is quieter & easier for him to concentrate. If he finishes his work early, he reads. I raised readers, LOVE that (o:
If I am lucky, I might get to sneak in a nap (o:
If I am not lucky, I have to sit & help Super Jacob with school or do one of Noah's very difficult mazes. But most of the time I end up sweeping & mopping <<< yes, my life is VERY exciting (o;
3 p.m. & 4 p.m. Super Julia wakes up & I start to focus on dinner.
At this point Super Jacob is done with school, Super Noah & Super Julia are ready to party. So now I endure the noise because everything starts happening all at once ... spills, screaming, running, barking, television, video games, iPod, computer, LeapPad, Leapster, musical instruments, noisy toys ...
I usually can be found adding to the noise, this is my time to vacuume.
4 p.m. & 5 p.m. I start to count down the minutes until Superdad gets home (o;
6 p.m. & 7 p.m. Superdad comes home, dinner is served & I have lost all of my super juice )o:
8 p.m. & 9 p.m. Super Kids are bathed & sent to bed with a story from Superdad.
9 p.m. & 11 a.m. I check Jacob's schoolwork, surf the net, watch television, blog or read <<< this is my only me time.
11 a.m. & midnight I crawl into bed next to a snoring Superdad. I say my prayers, thank God for the many blessings I have in my life & ask for more super juice.
... then it all starts over the next morning ...
My life isn't what I envisioned it would be 10 years ago, it's better (o:
I am blessed!
